When the Orchids are in Full Bloom

We met Sona in a café along the Avon River on a cloudy morning. She was sitting towards the direction where we would be coming.

“There she is - with a big smile, a bouquet of orchids, and a box of chocolate.”

We knew that she’s a scientist, but what we didn’t know was that she’s also a poet and writer.

“You’re an incredible combo of Arts and Science!!”

She laughed, “We live only once. Why not live as much as possible?”

The sky cleared just in time. Sona in the red summer dress was like a blooming rose in the forest.

We were so happy for her, so happy to see a Sona who loved herself and enjoyed being herself.

We met her when the flowers were in full bloom.

The orchids were preserved in a vase. Their fragrance lingered in our house for a long time.

Thank you, dear Sona, see you soon.
